Planning a winter garden

Each of us has the desire to have our own “winter garden”. A space where there will be enough light and a wonderful view of the surroundings. With our winter garden, which are a synergy of technical solutions, quality materials and precise assembly, your wishes will come true.

First of all, you need to ask yourself what you will need a winter garden for. We usually choose a winter garden because of the need for a space where we will find the much-needed peace and quiet for rest and relaxation. However, the decision for a winter garden may be made due to the need for additional space, where the easiest and fastest way to solve this problem is with a winter garden.

When the idea for a winter garden matures within us, it is the turn of experts to help us on the way to the final construction of the winter garden. The most important starting point for creating a winter garden is that the winter garden becomes an ornament to the existing building.
Our experts have many years of experience in planning and building winter garden and will be happy to advise you. If it is a major intervention in the building, the architect must definitely be present.

What materials to use?

We have to decide after consulting an expert, where we get accurate information about the advantages and disadvantages of only – these. Winter gardens are very different from each other and are unique products for each individual customer. It is necessary to take into account the wishes of the buyer, the purpose of using the winter garden, its location…

Ours winter gardens are made of PVC materials, with which we achieve better thermal insulation. The galvanized steel construction, which is the basis of every winter garden, ensures load-bearing capacity. The supporting structure must be strong enough to withstand all possible loads. This is taken care of by our experts, who make an accurate calculation of the necessary dimensions.

Another very important thing is glass and PVC profiles, which must provide us with the best possible thermal insulation.

8 MM TEMPERED glass (top), 16 mm spacer and 4 + 4 GLUE GLASS (bottom) are used for the roof glass. This is a basic glass that can be upgraded with reflective glass or triple-layered glass.

Wall glass is usually 4 -16 – 4; if desired, triple-layer or more sound-insulating glass can be used.

What do we need to know about winter garden ventilation, heating and cooling?

First of all, it is necessary to ensure natural ventilation by properly opening windows and doors. Depending on the size and location of the winter garden, the optimal opening methods are determined (classic windows, sliding windows and doors, accordion doors…).

The winter garden is a place that should be used all year round, so we need to take care of proper heating in time. A combination of underfloor heating and conventional heating is the best.

Cooling of the winter garden in the summer months is achieved with shades (roof awning, pleated roof – metalized, external blinds and screen blinds, internal shades…).
For transitional periods, the best solution is an air conditioner with a combination of cooling and heating.
